Reserve Sheriff’s Deputies

The Paulding County Sheriff’s Office Reserve Deputy Program is made up of men and women from the Paulding County Ohio community who wish to serve their fellow citizens. The men and women that make up the Reserve Program have varied backgrounds and experience, but work together to augment full-time deputies in providing law enforcement service to the citizens of Paulding County, Ohio

Reserve deputies serve in many capacities ranging from working uniform patrol service, managing special details as called for by the Sheriff, transporting prisoners and any other duties that may be required by the Sheriff’s Office. Reserve Deputies also work closely with the office’s full-time deputies in providing Homeland Security. These Reserve Deputies are available for call-out in times of emergencies or other situations which require a short response time, e.g., natural disasters, missing person calls, among myriad other types of situations.

This photo of the Paulding County Reserve Deputies was taken in approximately 2011.  Currently, there are about ten reserve deputies Sheriff Landers can utilize to cover contracted events and can call upon when extra personnel may be needed.

Reserve deputies are required to receive continuous training throughout the year, as well as qualify annually with their service weapon.
