WebCheck is a program coordinated by the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Identification and Investigation (BCI&I). It is an internet-based program for civilian background checks. WebCheck uses the internet to electronically transfer fingerprints and other data from inquiring agencies to BCI&I.
WebChecks are available on at the Paulding County Courthouse, Monday through Friday (except holidays), 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. by appointment or walk-in. You may prefer an appointment, as walk-ins may have a short wait time. There are also times when a deputy is not available for background checks. Please feel free to call ahead.
For more information, contact: Captain Dave Cline or Deputy Mark Figert at (419) 399-8286
A completed WebCheck form form and a valid State ID is required. Applicants must provide the code number on the form. Click here for a link to the Attorney General’s page for a list of BCI and FBI codes. Payment can be made in the form of credit or debit card, including Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express. Processing fees are $2.00 for each debit transaction and $2.00 or 3%, whichever is greater, for each credit transaction.
It is important to know the specific reason for the background check and an address where the results will be sent. Your potential employer or inquiring agency should give this information to you.
